Students At Hogwarts
I have always wondered how many students there were at Hogwarts. So in the books, there were only 5 boy Gryffindors in Harry's year and it sounded like there were only 3 girl Gryffindors. But does anybody really know about how many students attend Hogwarts each year and about how many in each houses?

Re: Students At Hogwarts
There was actually an interview when J.K. Rowling said that there is 1,000 students at Hogwarts. That will mean each house has about 250 students. But anyone who watched the movie, if lucky have seen to the max 50 students of the same house. Maybe it was the way Rowling wanted it to be (although she never mentioned it in the books). I am pretty sure then that it would have been hard to remember every 250 students of your house. If you ever saw the great hall it is pretty big, but I am not sure it will fit a thousand students.

Re: Students At Hogwarts
Thank you so much for the information! I had heard someone say that Hogwarts has over 1,000 students, but had seen that there are only about 400ish in the movies. So I was a bit confused. Thank you!
But that means...J.K. Rowling was wrong??
