Given the fact that she, Lexandriana Foxx, Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, she does not have to linger long at the secuirity check at the Autrium. And she was quite glad not to do so. Staying there longer meaning less time to talk to the Undersecretary, and she she's about to say to the secretary, is meaning BIG issues.

Knock. Knock.

Lex knocked gently on the brass door twice. Then, she waited patiently for any sign of acknowledgement from the person...or persons from the other side of the door.

The knocking lingered in to Ella Emerson's eardrums. Two knocks and the same rhythm. Ella knew exactly who it was, the deputy headmistress. She had had enough of visitors for one day, but could she handle this one? If it is Professor Foxx, then it must be important.

Then finally her voice came, "Come in," Ella said.
And she waited for the door to open.

When the inviting voice finally came, and Lex was waiting for it, she gently turned the brass door knob. After stepping into the office of the Undersecretary, Lexandriana closed the door gently behind her. She is now face to face with the women she had been hoping to meet this summer.

Lex smiled politely at the secretary. "Good morning, I'm Lexandriana Foxx, Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." she greeted. "I hope you have recieved my message that I will be coming today?" Hopefully, her appearance in this office isn't much of a surprise.

Ella was certainly startled. What message? But then she remembered the ugly owl that had came to her. Pecking on her window as though it was going to break it. And when she got the message it was almost completely shredded. The owl must have been nervous, clawing the scroll like that.... a old one too...

But that didn't matter... the Foxx lady probably noticed her daydreaming, because she was looking at Ella intently.
"Yes, of course," Ella sat up trying to look as much professional as possible. Flicking her wand, Ella hoped Lexandriana didn't notice her being nervous. Because whatever was about to come out of Lexandriana's mouth was ought to be bad.

"What is it then?" Ella tried to sound lively.

So the owl did get it to the right person this time.

"Yes? That's good." Lexandriana replied. Now that her elder owl, Iris, had succeeded this task since last Christmas, she should let her carry more letters and mails, leaving the packages to Gunnea, Lex's new and young owl she had just bought last Easter.

So back to the issue. Lexandriana gently clearly her throat before speaking on. "So firstly, I want to notify you, Ms. Emerson, that Hogwarts is currently short on teachers and staffs." Lex began confidently. "Actually, the current staffs Hogwarts still have are Miss Iris Black, a young but talented healer, Headmistress Minerva McGonagall, and myself. The rest of the staff just resigned...left...gone...you know...." Lexandrianna slowly trailed away, Why is she telling the undersecretary this? She has already recieved the letter and doesn't need to hear it again.

"But of course, you already know this from the letter."

Did she? Ella sometimes wondered if half the letter was ripped from that owl.
But of course that was long ago maybe she just forgot from having too many visitors in one day what the letter said. But she did remember it said something about staff.
And how can Hogwarts, one of the best schools, not have a single staff? It seemed certainly unusual. There must be somebody who wants to become a professor.
..And how about the students. How can they learn what it feels like to flick a wand and get whatever they want?
Ella felt shame all over how can she let this happen? How could have she never heard? Wasn't she the the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Magic!?
And yet her voice sounded calm,"Actually I don't know how would they leave like this."
"Perhaps an incident. What do you think Professor foxx?"
"Everyone loves Hogwarts, don't they? And I am sure three professors will do no good."
"And I also think this is part of your schools problem," Ella then hurriedly added, "But I will help of course."
"Perhaps advertise on the Daily Prophet, for school employment?"
Ella had said enough.

Iris knocked on the door, but not before accidentally hearing some of the conversation inside. "Uhh.. Excuse me. I couldn't help but overhearing the conversation. Oh but I wasn't spying, mind you. I'm terribly sorry!" Iris felt absolutely horrible. Certainly they weren't going to think that she was a nosy person right? She suddenly realize how absentminded she was and quickly added,"This is Iris Black, healer of Hogwarts, by the way."

Another visitor!
Iris Black, she said. Why did that name sound familiar. Then Ella realized that she was one of the few staff of Hogwarts.
A bit shaky and fast-paced for a healer. Ella shook away the thought. Maybe she was scared to think we suspected her of spying. But to tell you the truth between the three of them there was no secret. All them had the right to know Hogwarts needed more staff.
"Is something wrong, Miss Black?" Ella asked. "Miss Foxx here, was just asking about Hogwarts staff." She pointed her wand at Lex.

"Umm well actually I came for the same reason Miss Foxx did. Or so from what I've accidentally heard so far..." Iris responded. The extreme low number of staffs is becoming a severe problem. "I feel the need to point out that students will be coming into Hogwarts to start first term. Is there any way you can support?"

Iris couldn't help but look at Miss Foxx as she said this, trying to figure out her expressions. Surely that was what they were talking about, right? Although Iris only heard something about "staffs", there couldn't be anything else.

Lexandrianna had heard another sets of knocks on the door while her conversation with the Undersecretary. Dear Merlin, why can't they meet the Undersecretary some other times? Don't they understand how important this is? It's about the issue of young wizards and witches' education and effects the wizarding world outcome!

The Hogwarts Deputy Headmistress's mouth opened wide with shock as a staff from Hogwarts stepped out. Iris Black?? The Hogwarts Healer at the Ministry of Magic? What on Earth is she doing here?

Lex finally found her voice and spoke of what she hoped was a patient voice. "Iris dear, you didn't have to be here today. Didn't you get my owl this morning? I said you did not have to go to the Ministry of Magic today, I will be taking care of that." Lexandrianna stood there. Of course, Iris Black did come. She is currently standing in front of her and the secretary, apprently had gotten through the Ministry security, wearing a visitor's tag upon her chest. Oh Merlin, Iris had gone through all of that today and she didn't even have to??

"Really dear," Lex's voice carried a tinge of annoyance. "You did not have to come today. I was sure I made that clear to you in my letter. I understand how active you are...in this whole...business thing...but you really did not have to come today." The 32-year old witch added sternly, addressing purposely to the Hogwarts Healer.

Taking a deep breath, Lex went on. "But what I really need you to do today, is to go to Diagon Alley. There are plently of things to buy for Hogwarts." Didn't she already lay that clear in the letter? So how many times does she have to say this? "Hogwarts will need a couple of new broomsticks - some of the old ones have gotten splinched...a couple of brass scales will be needed, thank you..." Lexandrianna is now listing all the things Hogwarts is requiring to have. "And oh yeah, a globe of the moon will be needed also. A fifth year last year broke the last and only one in Astronomy. Will you please do that please?" There really isn't any reason to add 'dear' in this.

Now turning back to the Senior Undersecretary of the Minister of Magic, Lexandrianna first gave an apologetic smile. "So sorry about that, Ms. Emerson." She replied. "Should we continue with our last discussion?"

Miss Lex made it quite obvious that Iris wasn't wanted, so she left, leaving a careful, "Sorry to bother you." Iris was quite confused about the letter part, however. She asked politely, "Umm.. Miss Lex? I don't remember receiving a letter from you.... I do apologize but are you sure you used a trustworthy owl to send it? Well I'll be leaving then...'"

Ella nodded for the no needed apology. And wet it confused her how could the security let more than one person to visit her. Did they forget there job? Did they just want to exhaust her some more? And yet half the security's responsibilitys seemed to weigh on her.

But it might be the owl's fault, it might have never came to Iris. That old thing! Ella almost opened her mouth to complain about the owl. But thought better of it. They weren't here to discuss owls!
Ella started to relax at least now she has one person to handle.

And no mater how exhausted, she sounded lively and serious,"As I said before Miss Foxx, this part of your schools problem,"
Then she carefully continued, "Although the Ministry cares. You need to find your ways." lastly she said "And I am here to listen to all you've got."

As Lex turned to see Iris leaving and hear what she had to say, she didn't take in any information. All Lexandrianna really needs to do, is to talk to the Undersecretary standing right in front of her. She just made a slight nod to Iris Black as she left. Now it's back to the conversation.

The Deputy Headmistress gave a feeble smile before continuing on with her speech. "I did put some advertisments in the Daily Prophet...just did that this morning." said Lex as she fumbled back into her memories. "All what I needed to do is certainy done, but of course, all we have to do now, is wait." Yes, certainy Ms. Emerson already know that, Lexandrianna just want to make clear before going on.

"The thing is, Ms. Undersecretary," said the woman. "it is certainy possible that all the posts won't be filled up, or else, they should be all appying by now." Lexandrianna hoped that is making full sense. She wasn't sure how familiar Ella Emerson is with the school posting adjustments. "So what I am requesting to the Ministry, is that I wish for some of the workers from the Ministry would temporarily teach one forty-five minute lesson to the students at Hogwarts. The price will be very reasonable." Lex paused for a moment before continuing on. "The subject they teach could be related to the position they hold in the Ministry. For example, an employee from the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures could lecture a Care of Magical Creatures class. A worker from Level 2 could teach Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, or Charms. Someone from Department of Magical Games and Sports could hold the Quidditch - oh yes, we are missing that too - the Quidditch matches, and so on."

Whew. At last, Lexandrianna had gotten through all that she needed to say. It was a lot, but hopefully the undersecretary had gotten a hold of her purpose.

Ella pondered through Lex's suggestions, and one thing came to her mind: Would the workers agree?
Most of the workers think that the Ministry would never work without Ella Emerson. But Ella thinks it is all the other way around, the Ministry would never work without its workers. They were the workers after all.
And another thing, the Ministry itself needs more workers.
If the people in the Ministry wished to work in the Ministry, then why would they want the slightest thing to do with teaching? And Ella sometimes wondered, was all this Lex's idea? Or did Hogwarts actually agree on it? Ella suddenly felt the pressure of being the head of the Ministry of Magic.
And then Ella said something that was reasonable enough, but knew that was not what Lex wanted, "If the workers agree, then I agree."
